1. Download the SoftPaq .rpm file to a directory on your hard drive.

2. To check for existing NVIDIA packages, at the prompt type:
'rpm -qa | grep nvidia'

3. Remove any previous NVIDIA package. For example, at the prompt type:
'rpm -e nvidia'

4. To install the new package, at the prompt type:
'rpm -ivh nvidia-295.49.00-1.i386*.rpm'

NOTE: Step 4 places files, builds, and configures the NVIDIA Accelerated Graphics Module. It also moves any current X configuration file aside and automatically generates a new one that is based on detected hardware and connected monitors.
