1. Download and extract the fmw file.

With LAN connectivity:
2a. Go to the Embedded Web Server (type the IP address of the printer from any Web browser such as Internet Explorer) and click on the Setup tab.

With USB connectivity:
2b. Open the HP Printer Utility, select your printer and click on the Support tab.

3. Select the Firmware upgrade.
4. Click on browse button to point to the newer firmware file (.fmw).
5. Click on the update button and follow the instructions.
