PERFORM THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE TO UPGRADE THE FIRMWARE:

IMPORTANT: For this procedure, ensure communication is not lost during the upgrade

• Make sure that the PC schemes are set to always On in the Power options.
• Do not activate any sensor or front panel key.
• Do not disconnect the USB cable.
• Ensure that the Onyx SignEZ RIP (or any other RIP) is closed.
• It is also recommended that if you have other USB printing devices, you temporary disconnected them from your PC.

1. Once you have the firmware plus the application file downloaded, you will need to unzip and extract the files into a folder.
2. You should now see 5 files under your folder:
   1. 8000s FW v2.24_11.zip
   2. ECHOUSB.DLL
   3. ECHOUSBENTRY.DLL
   4. FWIMG.bin
   5. FWUPGRADE.exe
