File Description This solution provides only the PCL-6 driver without an installer.
To install the print driver use the Add Printer Wizard.
Optimised for use with Windows 8, Server 2012, and higher operating systems.

The following are compatible system requirements for Windows:

  • CD-ROM or DVD drive, or Internet connection
  • Dedicated universal serial bus (USB 1.1 or 2.0) connectivity port, or network connection
  • 400 MB of available hard-disk space
Installation Instructions For Windows 8, and Windows 8.1:

  1. Close any software programs running on your computer.
  2. Turn on the printer.
  3. Click on the Download button on this page.
  4. Click the downloaded file and extract the file. Make a note of the folder location in the self-extractor screen. This is where the files will be extracted.
  5. Go to the bottom left of the screen, right click, select Control Panel, then under Hardware and Sound select View devices and Printers.
  6. Click Add (a) printer.
  7. Click The printer that I want isn’t listed.
  8. Check Add a printer using TCP/IP address or hostname, click Next.
  9. Select TCP/IP Device or Web Services Device for the port.
  10. Uncheck Query the printer and automatically select the driver to use.
  11. Enter IP address and port name (can be the same as IP address).
  12. Click Next.
  13. Click Have Disk.
  14. Click Browse.
  15. Navigate to install folder, open the product folder, open the V4 folder, open the x86 or x64 folder depending on a 32 bit or 64 bit operating system being used.  Select the second .inf file (not hpbuio120l).
  16. Click Open.
