There are three options to upgrade yor firmware
  1. Using Embedded Web Server
    1. Select the Tools tab and then Printer Updates > Firmware Updates.
    2. Press Check now to check whether new firmware is available.
    3. If new firmware is available, some information about the new firmware is displayed, and you are given the opportunity to download and install it.

  2. Using HP Designjet Utility (.ful2 file)
    1. Save the .ful2 file from the download page.
    2. Make sure the .ful2 file has been correctly downloaded.
    3. Verify the checksum file: 471db8b2c5eaa435b13c45a1acceaabd.
    4. Make sure there are no empty spaces on the firmware file name, otherwise the firmware update will fail and the message Invalid file or Not enough space will be displayed on the Front Panel. In this case, rename the file without whites
