1. Download the file to the desktop.
2. Double click the file. A window "Firmware Repair Utility" will open.
3. Power Off the printer.
4. Connect the printer to the PC via a USB cable.
5. Press and hold down the "Cancel" button and Power On the printer at the same time.
6. When "Ready" and "Go" LED both on, release the "Cancel" botton.
7. Click on the "Yes" button in the "Firmware Repair Utility" dialog window.
8. The progress bar will begin to move indicating information being transferred.
9. During the printer firmware recovery, the printer's LEDs will begin flashing.
10. Do Not power cycle the printer or the PC during this process. The printer may become unstable and or unusable without further attention from HP. The firmware recovery can take up to 5 minutes to complete. Please be patient.
11. Once the printer comes back to a ready state and on the display of the PC, "Firmware download complete. Please cycle power on the printer to complet
