Before starting the upgrade:
The HP Officejet Pro 8500A Firmware flashing (upgrade) requires a wired network or a USB connection.
DO NOT upgrade the printer firmware in a wirelessly connected printer.
If the computer has a firewall installed or enabled, it may block the Firmware Download Utility from accessing the printer.
Install instructions:
1. Switch on the HP Officejet Pro 8500A series printer and wait until the printer is READY. [The Power light should be on]
2. Double click the OJP8500_A910_R1126A.dmg. Verify the "HP Firmware Updater" icon is shown in the folder up.
3. Double click the "HP Firmware Updater".
4. Follow on-screen instructions till you reached the "Select Device" screen.
5. A list of HP Officejet Pro 8500A printers will be shown.
6. Select the unit that you want to update the Firmware and click "Update" to start the firmware update process. You can only select one unit fo
