Note: This firmware update gives your printer the ability to communicate with a PC by the HCRP profile, and with handheld devices such a phone or pda. For compatibility information, please see hp's support website at http://www.hp.com/support/bluetooth.

Before you update the firmware you will need:

1. USB cable.
2. USB driver installed
3. Windows 98 or higher

Installation Instructions

Step 1: If you have not already done so, install the USB driver from the CD that came with your printer. Be sure to leave the USB cable attached .

Step 2: Download the latest HP Deskjet 995c firmware

1. Download the HP Deskjet 995c firmware update and save it to your computer.
2. After saving the file, record the filename and location .

Step 3: Update the HP Deskjet 995c firmware

To update (or reflash) your firmware, do the following:

1. Locate the HP Deskjet 995c firmware update on your computer (saved in step 6 above).
2. Double-click the HP Deskjet 995c firmware update file.
Run the firmware update from your hard drive only. The HP Deskjet 995c firmware update program will not run from a CD-ROM.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to update the firmware on your printer.
