1. Download the file by clicking the "Download" or "ObtainSoftware" button and saving the file to a folder on your hard drive(make a note of the folder where the downloaded file is saved).

2. Double-click the downloaded file and follow the on-screeninstructions.

NOTE: The files that are extracted in Step 2 include:

- An installation package for the RAID driver and Intel RapidStorage Technology to manage a RAID environment. These filesextract to the c:SWSETUP folder under the SPxxxxx subfolder.

- A Deployment folder within the SPxxxxx subdirectory contains the32-bit and 64-bit drivers for operating system installation andmanual driver update. For operating system installations copy thecontents of the folder (f6flpy32 for 32-bit and f6flpy64 for64-bit) to a diskette (floppy) (for Microsoft Windows XP, MicrosoftWindows Vista, or Microsoft Windows 7), or to USB key (forMicrosoft Windows Vista or Microsoft Windows 7). The Intel RapidStorage Technology Software must be installed to manage the RAIDenvironment after the operating system setup is complete.

- When migrating from a non-RAID environment with existingOperating System image, 4 MB of unallocated space is required atthe end of the drive before a RAID volume can be set up using theIntel Rapid Storage Technology Software.

NOTE: In the preceding examples, xxxxxx = SoftPaq number.
