File Description	This SoftPaq creates files that contain a binary image for the System ROM for the Compaq Evo D500, D300 and W4000 models with a 686Y2 Family ROM. This SoftPaq is used to flash the System ROM on target PCs on a network, and it requires System Software Manager (SSM) or Remote Management Setup.The ROM Family and ROM date can be determined by running the Setup Utility by pressing F10 on the target computer during system power on of the computer, and viewing File/System Information. HOW TO USE:

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive. The file that is downloaded is a self-extracting executable with a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above.
2. Insert a blank 1.44MB floppy diskette in drive A:. This diskette will be erased by the SoftPaq. Before proceeding, make certain the diskette is not write protected, does not contain viruses, and does not contain data or critical files.
3. From the drive and directory into which the Sofpaq was downloaded, execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.
4. After the diskette has been created, you may delete the self-extracting file downloaded in step 1.
5. To install the video BIOS update, insert the floppy diskette into the A: drive of the workstation to be updated and restart the computer. The computer will boot from the diskette.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions.
7. Once the video BIOS update is complete, remove the diskette and cycle power to the workstation.
